Election campaigns in Tamil Nadu run across thousands of polling booths, hundreds of streets, and dozens of communication channels, often simultaneously. Coordinating that scale requires more than good intentions and phone calls. It requires systems: structured, tested, and robust enough to keep functioning when networks drop, schedules collapse, and plans change by the hour. Hemanth builds those systems.

As Operations and Tech Lead at Think Politically, Hemanth is responsible for the infrastructure that keeps field campaigns running. That includes booth management systems, agent tracking tools, coordination protocols for polling day, and the logistical frameworks that hold together large-scale ground operations. He designs these systems with one constraint in mind: they must work even when connectivity is unreliable and the team on the ground has varying levels of technical familiarity.

His background combines campaign field experience with practical technology implementation. He doesn’t build tools for ideal conditions. He builds for the conditions that actually exist during Tamil Nadu elections: patchy mobile data in semi-urban constituencies, booth agents who need a single clear instruction rather than a dashboard, and coordinators who are managing twenty conversations at once. The systems he builds reduce dependency on real-time communication where possible and give field teams clarity without overcomplication.

Hemanth’s offline-capable field tools are a core part of Think Politically’s booth management capability. On polling day, the ability to track booth-level turnout, flag underperforming zones, and reallocate ground resources without depending on a live data connection is a meaningful operational advantage. He has designed and deployed these tools across multiple constituency campaigns.

Beyond polling day, Hemanth also manages the operational logistics of sustained campaign programmes: canvassing schedules, volunteer coordination systems, event logistics for public meetings and rallies, and inter-team communication protocols during active campaign periods. He works closely with the strategy and data teams to ensure that operational decisions are informed by electoral intelligence, not just ground availability.
